AN EXTRAORDINARY MEETING of the AWARDS, GRANTS AND TRANSPORT (APPEALS) COMMITTEE was held at the CIVIC OFFICE, DONCASTER on WEDNESDAY, 11TH JUNE, 2014, at 2.00 P.M.

Chair - Councillor Susan Bolton

Vice-Chair - Councillor Sandra Holland

 

Councillors Ted Kitchen, Sue Knowles, Tracey Leyland-Jepson and Martin Williams.

 

APOLOGIES

 

An apology for absence was received from Councillor Sue McGuinness.                   

 

25.       DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

 

There were no declarations made at the meeting.

 

26.       MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 18TH MARCH, 2014  

 

            RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 18th March, 2014, be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

 

27.       EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS

 

            RESOLVED that the public and press be excluded from the meeting in accordance with Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972, as amended, on the grounds that exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12(A) of the Act, was likely to be disclosed.

 

28.      APPLICATIONS FOR TRANSPORT ASSISTANCE

 

The Committee considered Appeals in relation to transport assistance.

 

              RESOLVED that

 

4. (a)  Application Case No. 1192, be refused; and

 

(b)   Application Case No. 1193, be granted due to the exceptional circumstances of the case.  The zero fare bus pass be awarded until the end of Secondary Education.
